⚡ Our verdict: GTA 6 is console-only at launch on 19 November 2026, and Rockstar hasn’t released PC specs yet. Based on the console hardware, an RTX 2060 should just about get you in at 1080p low, and an RTX 3060 12GB-class PC is the safe, affordable target for 1080p at around 60 FPS. Don’t rush to upgrade — but if you’re buying anyway, tested RTX gaming builds start from $750.

It’s the question every PC gamer in Singapore is asking this month: will my rig handle GTA 6? The honest answer starts with a caveat. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November 2026, and Rockstar hasn’t confirmed a PC release date or published system requirements. Industry reports point to a PC version in 2027 — the same console-first pattern Rockstar used with GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2.
That means nobody can benchmark it yet. What we can do is work from what’s known: the consoles’ graphics power sits around an RTX 2070 Super, GTA 6 is expected to target 30 FPS on console, and Rockstar’s last PC port (RDR2) scaled well with upscaling. Below is our best estimate for every NVIDIA card from the RTX 2060 upwards — we’ll update it the moment official specs drop.
Every GPU from RTX 2060 to RTX 5090: Expected Settings
Estimates assume a modern 6-core CPU, 16 GB RAM or more, an NVMe SSD and DLSS upscaling switched on.

| RTX 2080 Super / 2080 Ti | 1080p High, DLSS Quality | 55–65 |
| RTX 3060 Ti | 1080p High, DLSS Quality | 55–65 |
| RTX 3070 / 3070 Ti | 1080p High–Ultra, or 1440p Medium | 60–70 |
| RTX 4060 Ti 8GB / 16GB | 1080p Ultra, or 1440p Medium–High (16GB) | 60–70 |

| RTX 3080 / 3080 Ti | 1440p High, light ray tracing | 60–75 |
| RTX 4070 / 4070 Super | 1440p High–Ultra, RT Medium, DLSS + FG | 60–90 |
| RTX 5070 | 1440p Ultra, RT Medium, DLSS + FG | 70–100 |
| RTX 3090 | 1440p Ultra, light RT | 60–75 |
| RTX 4070 Ti / 4070 Ti Super | 1440p Ultra + RT, or 4K High (DLSS Performance) | 60–90 |
| RTX 5070 Ti / 4080 / 4080 Super | 4K High + RT, DLSS Performance + FG | 60–100 |
| RTX 5080 | 4K Ultra + RT, DLSS + FG | 70–110 |
| RTX 4090 / 5090 | 4K Ultra + full ray tracing, DLSS + FG | 80–120+ |
All figures are our predictions, not benchmarks. AMD owners: an RX 6700 XT sits roughly with the RTX 3060, an RX 7800 XT with the RTX 4070, and an RX 9070 XT with the RTX 5070 Ti — though expect AMD to fall behind once ray tracing is on.
Three Things That Will Decide Your GTA 6 Experience
1. VRAM, not just the GPU name
A dense open city with high-resolution textures eats video memory. The RTX 2060’s 6 GB is its weakest point; 8 GB cards will cope at 1080p with textures dialled back, and 12 GB+ is where you stop worrying. That’s why an older RTX 3060 12GB is a smarter long-term buy for this game than some newer 8 GB cards.
2. Your CPU and RAM
Traffic, crowds and AI all run on the processor. Plan for at least a modern 6-core chip (Ryzen 5 5600 or Core i5-12400 class) and 16 GB of RAM — 32 GB if you can. With RAM prices still surging in 2026, getting 32 GB inside a used build now is far cheaper than adding it later.
3. An SSD with room to spare
No size is official yet, but estimates range from about 150 GB to 250 GB. Red Dead Redemption 2 already takes around 150 GB. A hard drive will mean stutter and texture pop-in — see our SSD vs HDD guide.
Should You Upgrade Now or Wait?
Wait if you already have an RTX 2060 or better. You’ll likely be able to play at launch on lower settings, and buying before Rockstar posts official specs is guesswork. GPU prices also tend to jump around blockbuster launches.
Buy now if you’re on a GTX card, an old quad-core, or a hard drive. Those are the systems most likely to fall short — and a complete tested used gaming PC already handles today’s heavy hitters like Cyberpunk 2077 while you wait. Every machine passes our full testing checklist before sale.
Trading up? An older GPU still holds value. Our trade-in programme can offset your next build.
FAQ
Almost certainly, but not at launch. GTA 6 releases on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November 2026. Rockstar hasn’t announced a PC date; reports point to 2027.
We expect yes, at 1080p low with DLSS, around 30–45 FPS. Its 6 GB of VRAM is the main limit. Official requirements haven’t been published.
For a smooth 1080p experience, we’d aim for a 6-core CPU, 16 GB RAM, an NVMe SSD and an RTX 3060 12GB-class card. Tested used builds in that range start from around $750 in Singapore.
Laptop RTX chips are slower than desktop cards with the same name. As a rough rule, expect one tier lower than the desktop equivalent in the table above.
